Lola Babiez

The Mommies just love Lola Babiez Organics. We each received one of the Tag--Long blankets and we all agree, they are adorable and very soft! The Tag-A-Long is a Lolababiez Organics Original Design! This is made for babies to carry around a favorite blanket for years. Most are dragged all around and become tattered with love, but this is the perfect size since it will not drag and little ones can hold and cuddle since it is not too heavy. They are lovingly made of 100% organic fleece with organic cotton fabrics designed by Harmony Art. This double layer blanket has a front that is a patch design with the reverse made of super-soft thick fleece

Lolababiez Organics has made an organic terry cloth washcloth trimmed with blue or pink wool. The cloth is super absorbent and will only get softer after each wash. Soap up your baby with our non-toxic organic cotton wash cloths. Set up 4.

We also love the Don't wake the baby! Doorbell covers. When a baby is asleep, the last thing you need is the doorbell to ring. Doorbell covers stop this problem by simply covering your doorbell temporarily. It can be removed daily for nap time or left up for the whole first year! Every mom needs a doorbell cover. A child's sleep is a precious thing that should not be interrupted by a caring friend or the local delivery guy. Printed on recycled paper and can be used over and over. Attach to your door with tape. Each door cover sold separately. Makes a great gift for a new mom.

You can find many more amazing items at Lola Babiez Organics.

Much Love Monday

It's all about JoJo this week. This mom is not only a blogger she also is the owner of PB&J Celebrations. Maybe you have seen her Blog Party which is going on right now. There are tons of great prizes to win from See Kai Run shoes, goodies from Olive Kids the party is sure to be a hit!
JoJo started her blog as an outlet (like many of us) and it quickly took off. She loves to bake and share her recipes with her readers. And we do love getting those yummy recipes! As her blog took off she wanted to celebrate this the big party. She gained many sponsors and her blog then took another direction. She now does reviews, among many other things but is loving everything about the reviews. She loves bringing you her favorite products! She posts anything and everything about her life even this cute post about her home. Stop by and visit the life of JoJo she's funny, she's sweet and she's a good read!

Now about PB&J Celebrations, it all started with an invitation she made for her daughters birthday, and has ended up with an entire store of beautiful creations. She started selling her creations on her blog and quickly moved them over to Etsy. Stay tuned to this mom as her website will go up sometime in 2009!

We here at Mommies United enjoy her blog and can't wait to see as she continues to grow. Her clean and modern design is refreshing and her reviews are informative.

Classy Kid

As a parent it is our job to try our best and keep our children safe. We carry everything we can in our diaper bags for all of those "just in case" emergencies. But have all been there when our kids get owies. Not only do our kids cry from the pain but we feel horrible for them.

Us Mommies hate seeing our babies cry and in pain. Classy-Kid feels the same way. They created the Boo Boo Care. It has everything moms need to say bye-bye to boo-boo's! It helps turns every day injuries into fun learning experiences.

Each of us Mommies received one of the Boo-Boo Rescue First Aid and Bravery Kit. It makes over 265 Boo-Boos fun learning & bonding events. Moms now have a chance at turning those tears and "banana faces" into smiles more quickly. We all agree that the fin shapes of the band aids made our kids stop crying almost instantly. The kit includes a toy stethoscope so the patient can help you with "fixing the boo-boos" (You can see all the contents here.)

Classy Kid also has great travel products. All products are disposable. One product that we all agree is very helpful for us is the Public Potty Protectors. They have XL sizedrapes over the front and sides where kids hold on, with soft paper-towel-like feel for toddler's bottom. Each protector has a coated cotton fabric with adhesive strips to hold it in place (should not be flushed). White color covers, come in a re-sealable travel bag.

For those reasturant outings, go prepared with the Disposable Dining-Out Cup Kit. We all think that every reasturant should carry these kits as well! Every dining-out necessity packed into a handy package! Disposable cup contains all the goodies:Soft, waterproof bib with crumb-catcher pocket CrayAngle triangular crayons wonít roll away (patent pending) Two handy wipes for clean up before & after meal time. This kit is a "diaper bag necessity"! Dine out in style!

Other products carried by Classy Kid are: Disposable Fedding, Arts & Crafts, Sanitizers , Reusable Feeding, Clean & Green, and Reusable Travel.

You cna purchase these items at stores like Target, and also many online retailers. To find a store near you enter your zip code here.

2 Little Mammas

2 Little Mammas offers many amazing, handmade items. Us Mommies have not seen such unique items before. From the Baby Bundle, to silhouette tees, felt headbands, to hand embroidered tops.

You are sure to find the perfect shower gift.

The love bird is a favorite. We love the bold colors that were used. It is hand embroidered and thoughtfully crafted with your sweet baby in mind. The back of the bird image is protected with ironed on interfacing so the threads will not get pulled when wearing or washing. You can request this bird onesie in many sizes.

The original lets do lunch bag, is perfect for those toddlers in pre-school. It is perfect for the fashionable mom and baby on the go! The inside is lined in vinyl for ease in cleaning. There are three pockets inside for spoons, granola bars, gogurt or anything else your child desires. With a drawstring style closure and the grosgrain ribbon ties into a pretty bow to keep everything in it's place. It can easily holds 2 jars of baby food, three spoons, and a bib! When baby has outgrown baby food use the bag for snacks while you are out, this way the bag catches all the crumbs.

Don't forget the ever popular baby bundle, wipe covers. This unique diaper wipe cover/diaper holder is the answer to easy diaper changes and keeping life simple and compact! It will even hold your diaper cream! There is a zipper on the side to easily replenish your wipes when needed. if you prefer you can refill it with what ever wipes brand you have, just fit them through the top where the wipes come out. each baby bundle purchase comes with the huggies wipes already in place to get you started!

Sweet Extravaganza WEEK ELEVEN Winner!!

The winner of our
Sweet Extravaganza WEEK ELEVEN Giveaway is:

Kathleen said...
I'd like to win because I don't think my daughter's second grade class would like to witness the cupcake carnage her class last year had to deal with. It was supposed to be so wonderful, so special, her birthday comes but once a year! But sadly the box that had originally contained bottled water was no match for the awesome power of both my cupcakes and my husband's driving. There was frosting everywhere! Tiny crumbs of cake stood up with their tiny arms (I bet you didn't even think they had arms!) raised to the sky in surrender, "Please don't make us travel in this horrible box with that crazy man driving any longer!"Of course, the children still found the cupcakes to be delicious, but I'm certain they were mentally scarred, oh yes. It was a sad, sad day for all of cupcakedom.

Congratulations on winning! We will be emailing you!

I am sure everyone is wondering how to enter week 12 right? Well stay tuned for the details. (this is not the giveaway post)

Congrats to our winner of the Kaboost!

Fabulous Tip Friday

Congrats to the winner of our Kaboost contest!

caseyshayne When my daughter first became potty trained, I would always ask if she had to go poop, and she always said no. Then one time she was on the potty and I wanted to help her off and she got so upset so I asked if she had to poop. She then told me, ever so seriously, that boys poop, girls toot. To this day, (she's almost 3) she still tells me that her toot is coming rather than needing to go poop. I just smile.

Also, Congrats to the winner of our Pigtails ink contest.

Christian Kay said...

Messages From Our Readers

In week six of our Cupcake Giveaway Mary Ann won a Cupcake Courier for her daughter Christine. We recently heard from the pair and had to share the news.

On the 4th of July Christine had to try out her new courier. She was excited to bring American inspired designs to all of her friends. Little did she know on the way to her dock (where the get together was being held) she would be stopped by a very curious "customer". Yes, with her professional designs and courier someone actually stopped and asked her if she was selling her cakes. She gladly gave over a few (free of charge) and their whole gang enjoyed the cakes. She was so pleased that no tin foil ended up all over her perfectly decorated icing, nor were her cakes smashed.

If you have a story to share with us email mommiesunited@yahoo.com

Wupzey Highchair Food Catcher Winners

The Wupzey Highchair Food Catchers Winners are:

1. cpullum said...
My husband hid the vegetables in the mash potatoes because this is the only way we could get her to eat them. Well she figured it out and put her hands in the mash potatoes and took each piece of vegetable and threw it across the room. When we came in we saw vegetables stuck to the wall and floor!

2. My husband and I would much rather sit and feed our son than allow him the pleasure of making a huge mess of himself, we would much rather avoid the site of a messy toddler and the chore of cleaning up the floor, highchair and a little boy. Well, there have been those few times that our need to allow him to feed himself overruled, resulting in spaghetti all over the place, in his hair, ears and most of it on the floor! I would love to have this cool contraption so as to allow our son the pleasure of feeding himself more frequently and not worrying about food getting on the floor. Thanks for the giveaway!
Sara

3. 3boyzmom from Save Your Money Mama!! said...
I have a funny story! When my now 7 year old was about 1, I used to commonly put him in his highchair with Cheerios while I was cooking, or needed to use the phone, or get a hands free few minutes. Many times, there would be tons of cheerios on the kitchen floor, yet later when I would return to clean them up, they would either be gone or I would swear that there were less Cheerios on the floor. It was a mystery I never could solve. Then, late one night I couldn't sleep and was sitting in the dark at my computer. I spotted a mouse come out from under the fridge, grab the few Cheerios on the floor (yes, sometimes i go to bed without picking up my entire house, I'm human not an OCD freak), and scurry back under the fridge. Unfortunately, we had to catch him and get rid of him and I had to go back to picking up the cheerios all by myself!! Now that I have another baby, I need a Wupzey to ensure no more Mousey roomates!!!

4. Leigh from The Homeschooled Year said...
lol lots of great comments on here. My favorite story about my son (now 5) was one day I set him up at his high chair, turned to grab a fork, and turned back around to see him eating straight off the tray, no hands. My daughter says "I taught him how to eat like a horse!" lol The older kids are always so helpful, aren't they? Who knows what these two will teach the little one that's on the way.

Remember Me...It's Kristin

Hello Mommies (and even Daddies too) it’s Kristin. As you may know I have not been around much so lets give everyone my long awaited update. Maybe some of you heard about my recent engagment although there have been many other exciting things happening as well.

I am finally taking a summer off from school, I have been going to college for three years straight. One might actually think my break would make life easier on me. As always this is not the case, once again I find myself swarmed with tasks that should have already been completed. But I always manage to find something else to do, you know everything but the task at hand.

Right before my big vacation to Oklahoma and Texas we made the very risky decision to move into a new place. It was all find and dandy until I realized my house was in chaos and I was about to leave 2,000 miles away. But we managed to move in and have a fabulous vacation visiting family. All of which was well over due.

So I find myself still months behind, and fall term approaching. I am working very hard to catch up and get back in the swing of things. To be honest with all my other projects and life happening I have missed Mommies United. So join me every week here, us girls have some fun things in the works!

Fun Felts

As Mommies we are all trying to find safe and fun toys for our children. Most of us have turned to using wooden toys or simple toys to play with. We have found one product that as little girls ALL of us Mommies played with. That toy is Felts. We are sure that everyone remembers playing with felts growing up, well kids STILL love them!

Each of us Mommies got to try out a different play felt. One that we really want to share with your Mommies who have preschoolers (they have felts for EVERY age) but they have a kit called the Preschool Curriculum Kit. This special collection teaches preschoolers math, science, reading/writing skills, art, music, and P.E. in a group or individual setting. There are 3 main written units (36 pages each!) with a total of 9 mini-unit lessons that include fully outlined lesson plans for the attention-getting activity, group fun, 3 felt center activities, coloring pages, activity sheets, P.E. activity, and a snack idea.

There are many other felt sets to choose from, from math, science, social studies, to toys.

Please pass along this site to all the teachers as well!

Amanda's girls loves playing with the Fashion Dolls.

Terrific Post Tuesday

First of all, here are our favorite posts from the last week...
Shanda, Kristin, Christine and Amanda

And second, CONGRATS!! To our winner Monica of the Kaboost! Here are her fabulous tips!

Anonymous said...
1. I keep a bag in the car that I throw cool dollar store items and washable markers in. We call it the restaurant bag and my girls love seeing the little surprises so much that they are very well behaved wherever we take them.2. I mix fruit babyfood and plain yogurt and freeze them in popsicle molds to make a yummy treat for a hot summer afternoon.I will cc you in on my email. Thanks for the giveaway- the Kaboost looks like the perfect thing for my petite 4 year old. The poor think can hardly see her plate but is too embarrassed to sit in a "baby booster".
