One our new favorite items is the Skirty from Amoretti. It's the answer to that perennial problem of how to keep your little girl looking together while she's in a dress or a skirt. It might be your three-year old doing the classic hitching-up of her dress to check on a situation that is going on with her stomach, letting the whole world in on the news that she's got her undies on backwards. It may be a four-year old, conscientiously smoothing her skirt over her knees, not yet aware that if your feet are on the chair and your knees are up around your chin, then the point of keeping your skirt down has been lost. It could be your five-year old, showing the dinner company how she's learned to stand on her head. Or it might be your 4th grader who likes to wear a skirt to school but also likes to jump off the swings...
We are all excited to finally have this answer and we all would like to add how stinking cute our girls look in them!

belinda_streak(at)hotmail(dot)com
We shop "The Mall" looking for the cutest clothes and best prices - Macy's, Sears, JCPenney, and Hot Topic.
I shop wherever I can find the best deals, this year it was mostly Children's Place, Justice for Girls , and Old Navy. I haven't been to the mall yet, but need to get a few more things so will probably head to Macys and Pennys soon.
well... please be kind... I do live in the absolute middle of NOWHERE... so we drive 1.5 hours to the nearest town that and shop at Wal-Mart. Sad, I know. But hey, the closest Old Navy and real Mall are 3 hours away.
well, online stores are my favorite especially wehn there are deals--hey for old navy fans- jeans are 7 bucks for kids this weekend and 12 for adults on a few styles ..but wherever I find a good deal- even if its last season or end of season I buy ahead if its a great deal. I hate shopping in stores and found myself going three months without going to walmart and went into a local grocery store and filled 2 carts and lived off that for 2 months...I personally would rather give the online smaller and unknown dealers my business and help people out, and by shopping online- I save time and gas.
We have to get uniforms, so most of ours come from Target.
This year, we went to Kohls.I also love Savers which has really good secondhand stuff. Target is awesome, too! And I found a cute $1 halter at Wal-Mart for my daughter this week! I guess I'm all over the place, huh?!
old navy during sales and I stock up on basics. sometimes splurge on gap and extra special boutique items only found online!
tvollowitz at aol dot com
used to love Marshalls but mine's been stinkin' in the kids clothing area lately, so now it's gymboree, childrens place, gap, old navy, target, or wherever else I see something cute and "boutique-y" looking!
target
We shop at Target, and Ross. Heavens I love that store. We can get 4 times as much there, and I know we'll find stuff that won't be on every other kid in my daughters class. We don't mind that things are last season in the "city" because they never got to our small town till they hit Ross lol
i shop at jcpenny or marshall's.
It depends... I usually shop ahead of time at the Childrens Place outlet. But if there's anything that I need as the time comes, I usually hit Target, Meijer or Kohl's. :)
Added this one to my contests page on my review site! :)

We shop a combination of Old Navy, Sears and our favorite Thrift Stores. My older kids are pretty good at helping to find bargains.
We shop all over depending on what we need and who's having sales. I try not to do too much clothing shopping just for back to school, but rather a few times during the year to space it out.

Unfortunately, our economic situation won't allow us to buy back-to-school clothes this year. Gotta keep wearing the birthday clothes and wait for Christmas. Dd is homeschooled though, to at least nobody will laugh at her for not having new clothes.

My daughter has to wear a uniform for the first time this year, so I shopped a a few different places to see what will look better/hold up the best: The Children's Place, Kohl's, Target, and Wal-Mart.
I love the "Skirty!" Here's a link to another brand that is similar (my daughter has one and it's very comfortable):
http://www.trenditikes.com/mobarbu.html
You're gonna laugh...can I just say everywhere? No? Okay, here's my list:
Children's Place & Children's Place outlet(my fave!), Target, Kid-to-Kid, Bumblebee Creations, Thrift stores including Goodwill, aka 'The French Room', and, my girls fave, my magical boxes that include hand-me-downs and cute new clothes, from awesome giveaways, and clothes that I found at fantastic sales here and there over time.:D
When you have 3 and are still paying off adoption bills, you save where you can!:D
I like Target!
I shop at resale shops and clearance sales the year before. No stores in particular!
My girls age 9,11 and 13 shop at Old Navy, PacSun, Areopastle, Rue21.
My 18 year old boy likes H&M these days.
My little ones...handy-me downs are great! Otherwise, I like homemade stuff that a friend makes and stuff on etsy for an occasion outfit or it is clearance rake all the way. Bought about 6 shirt for 5yob at Kmart that totaled $12
Daughter is not in school yet - but imagine I would shop anywhere that has good deals and quality clothes!
I have to say we usually go to the Salvation Army or other resale shops to buy most of the kids clothes there. We can find a lot of great clothes for just a couple dollars. Thank you so much!
I shop all year round for clothes for my children. I have different sizes of jeans stashed in my sons closet. i find lots of deals at Old Navy and the Children's place outlet.

ladyblue1112000[at]yahoo.com
Only at consignment stores and thrift stores except socks & underwear/panties, for those it's Wal-Mart or Target (whomever has the best deal).
http://munchinheads.blogspot.com/
I start at the Children's Place and hit the sales there and then go on to Old Navy or Gap for Kids but I always end up buying a thing or two at WalMart or JCPenny also
What cute ideas! I love to shop the Childrens Place, I usually buy at the end of season sales for the next year! Then when the season comes up on me I try to add a few extras! I am always on the lookout for cute tights because my 3 year old loves skirts and I want her to still be modest! I don't think a girl can have enough tights and boots! I love the cute boots they have at Target.
gap and children's place for us!
This year I bought most of the school supplies in our local store.
For my own school supplies, including those expencive textbooks, I use amazon.com.
Thrift stores is where I shop for Back to School "threads." (Gotta love those hand-me-downs!) ;)

So I have to admit that I am a little bit into fashion and so I like to hit stores less traveled so that my little ones don't end up matching with half of the other girls in their class. I love stores like the nordstrom rack and TJ Maxx to help watch the pennies and find unique and cute clothing for my girls.
I hit the discount retailers off season for the best bargains and buy a size up, so my daughter and son will get into the stuff next year. (Kmart/Walmart/Target) then I head over to JC Penney for alot of school shopping again using the bargain theory and buying last years favorites for this years school clothes. I also will shop in unique local stores or for this seasons stuff for a few have to have items as well as online. Since I have started blogging and visiting others blogs, I have found many nice shops to buy from!
micaela6955 at msn dot com
I can usually find a bunch on ebay. This year a purchased a 12 pc lot of new with tags items. Otherwise Target fits my girls well. If I can make it to the Children's Place outlet, I'm a winner.

I am not to proud to admit that I bought a ton of my boys back to school clothes at the Goodwill. And let me tell you, I bought stuff that looked brand new and no one would EVER! know that I bought them there. I saved TONS of money. I bought Levi's and Gap and Old Navy and other brand name clothes.
Now they are in need of some underwear (that I would NEVER buy used...LOL!) so that Hanes GC would be really nice!

Whereever there's a really good sale, lol!! Old Navy is usually great for sales, and I like to check back at Winners from time to time to see what's in the clearance racks.
natasha_sacopaso[at]hotmail[dot]com
It seems like we went everywhere this year. Only one of the stores in our area had long sleaved shirts for boys (Sears). We also shopped at K-Mart, Target and Ross. What a long day that was.

At the Foley, Alabama Tanger Outlet which is about a hour away from where I live. But made out great with Alabama's tax free weekend before school started. Way worth the gas.
I don't really buy "Back to school" clothes. I just buy clothes when my kids need them. Usually from Target or Walmart, but most of kids get hand me downs from others.
We usually buy clothes at yard sales and Goodwill.
serving_theKingofkings@yahoo.com
I get back to school clothes for my granddaughter at Old Navy,Target,Kohl's ,Gymboree and sometimes Gap Kids(has to be on sale at the last 2)

maddox_amy@yahoo.com
I have to admit, even if my kids were in school (we homeschool) I've never understood going out & buying a whole bunch of clothes in one fell swoop. School or not, we watch sales all the time & buy things we need, generally a season or more ahead, when the price is right.
All of the items featured in this post are just awesome. :)
My daughter has to wear a uniform for school, so we don't get to buy on whim and fancy. I do like to shop for uniform pieces at The Children's Place though, and also at Walmart.
Rebekah

I like Wal-Mart. They have great clothes for school and play and great prices. Let kids be kids without all the prices and fuss!

My favorite place for back to school clothes has always been the clearance rack at TJ Maxx. You can always get great clothes, often in name brands and on clearance, at even better prices than WalMart or Target. You can't beat that! Email: jennae at greenyourdecor dot com
I shop almost everywhere (Walmart, Target, Macy's, Sam's. . .)that sells clothes, only buy on extreme clearance, and stock up in future sizes. So far it has worked out well.
