In-Style Threads

We are sure all you moms out there have probably started shopping for clothes. Of course, all the kids want the latest and greatest, most in-fashion items out there, right? Or at least you do! Well, let us Mommies help you out with a few of our favorite shops. Plus you will all get a chance to win some of them!

One our new favorite items is the Skirty from Amoretti. It's the answer to that perennial problem of how to keep your little girl looking together while she's in a dress or a skirt. It might be your three-year old doing the classic hitching-up of her dress to check on a situation that is going on with her stomach, letting the whole world in on the news that she's got her undies on backwards. It may be a four-year old, conscientiously smoothing her skirt over her knees, not yet aware that if your feet are on the chair and your knees are up around your chin, then the point of keeping your skirt down has been lost. It could be your five-year old, showing the dinner company how she's learned to stand on her head. Or it might be your 4th grader who likes to wear a skirt to school but also likes to jump off the swings...

We are all excited to finally have this answer and we all would like to add how stinking cute our girls look in them!

Bitty Braille has the most unique shirts we have ever seen. We all completely feel in love with them the moment we saw them. We have never seen children's t-shirts with Braille on them. The concept behind Bitty Braille is that it introduces Braille to young children. Bitty Braille features simple "kid-friendly" fun words, written on tees in Braille, with exquisite faceted rhinestuds for girls and metal studs for boys. Bitty Braille donates a portion of every sale to the American Foundation for the Blind (afb.org). The AFB is a national nonprofit organization founded in 1921 to provide research, representation, information and discussion regarding the possibilities for people with vision loss. Helen Keller worked for AFB for over 40 years until her death in 1968.

When we first saw Lark and Loon each of us melted. We all said how we wished they came in adult sizes! Lark and Loon commissions original pieces from artists across the country and turns them into unique, wonderfully soft, carefree clothing for children ages 2 to 12. All of our tees, drops and leggings are pure cotton, printed with water-based inks and USA made. Lark and Loon’s creations are go-to favorites for those seeking one-of-kind everyday, classic clothes to nurture the inner artist of all those who wear it. Most items come in size 2/3 all the way to a size 10.

Lark and Loon is gearing up for their back to school trunk shows. Trunk Shows are a great way to mingle with friends and neighbors, and purchase unique artistic clothing. Hosts receive 20% of their show profits towards clothes or cash, so you get paid to party! Interested potential hosts can contact Lark and Loon at nest@larkandloon.com

Tote & Tee has some of the cutest t-shirts for kids! Register at Tote and Tee for a chance to win $25 Store Credit in their monthly drawing.Do you love Tote and Tee? I shop wherever I can find the best deals, this year it was mostly Children's Place, Justice for Girls , and Old Navy. I haven't been to the mall yet, but need to get a few more things so will probably head to Macys and Pennys soon.

Tarasview said...

well... please be kind... I do live in the absolute middle of NOWHERE... so we drive 1.5 hours to the nearest town that and shop at Wal-Mart. Sad, I know. But hey, the closest Old Navy and real Mall are 3 hours away.

MOMFOREVERANDEVER said...

well, online stores are my favorite especially wehn there are deals--hey for old navy fans- jeans are 7 bucks for kids this weekend and 12 for adults on a few styles ..but wherever I find a good deal- even if its last season or end of season I buy ahead if its a great deal. I hate shopping in stores and found myself going three months without going to walmart and went into a local grocery store and filled 2 carts and lived off that for 2 months...I personally would rather give the online smaller and unknown dealers my business and help people out, and by shopping online- I save time and gas.

At the Foley, Alabama Tanger Outlet which is about a hour away from where I live. But made out great with Alabama's tax free weekend before school started. Way worth the gas.

I don't really buy "Back to school" clothes. I just buy clothes when my kids need them. Usually from Target or Walmart, but most of kids get hand me downs from others.

We usually buy clothes at yard sales and Goodwill.

I love fliggity! And I have actually shopped for back to school kiddo clothes!! I almost always go to Old Navy. Even I shop there as an adult, so I figure they're doing pretty well on the trend front, and the price is usually right. Thanks!

I mostly go to Target, and Wal-mart. Both have reasonable prices, and especially when they're having sales and clearances! Both cheap and fashionable, can't beat that :)

We shop at Childrens Place (they usually have a Monster Sale right before the school starts) for nicer clothes and Target for everyday wear.

Thank you for opening our eyes to more places to get cute clothes and for a chance to win :)

I have to admit, even if my kids were in school (we homeschool) I've never understood going out & buying a whole bunch of clothes in one fell swoop. School or not, we watch sales all the time & buy things we need, generally a season or more ahead, when the price is right.

All of the items featured in this post are just awesome. :)

My daughter has to wear a uniform for school, so we don't get to buy on whim and fancy. I do like to shop for uniform pieces at The Children's Place though, and also at Walmart.

I like Wal-Mart. They have great clothes for school and play and great prices. Let kids be kids without all the prices and fuss!

I usually shop at either Meijer's or Walmart. Walmart by far has the best prices and best selection. Thanks so much for the great giveaway!

My favorite place for back to school clothes has always been the clearance rack at TJ Maxx. You can always get great clothes, often in name brands and on clearance, at even better prices than WalMart or Target. You can't beat that! Email: jennae at greenyourdecor dot com

I shop almost everywhere (Walmart, Target, Macy's, Sam's. . .)that sells clothes, only buy on extreme clearance, and stock up in future sizes. So far it has worked out well.

My sister-in-law actually works at a Children's Place outlet and she spoils us! I haven't HAD to buy clothes for years! I love it!

But, I've been known to pick up some clothes for the kids when I'm browsing through Target!

I just found some great deals at Macy's and I like The Children's Place for their end of season sales too. But, we're homeschooling so our clothes don't wear out that quickly.

We buy a lot at a local kid's consignment sale that takes place twice a year. And I get a lot of clothes on sale at Kohls.
