Greetings Earthlings!
My name is Tanya. I was asked to be a guest blogger here at Mommies United and I gladly accepted! My life is a bit hectic (to say the least) at the current moment because we just moved last Monday to a new (old) home 5 hours from where we have lived for 4 years and we are working to get things in place for the kiddos.
I am a 32 year old newly stay at home mommy, in Iowa, to Tucker (3 year old boy) and Kambry (10 month old girl). No, I am not from here. My hubby decided to bring me here. I have adjusted pretty well, I think, to the massive cold weather that we have in the fall and winter. I have worked full time pretty much my entire life and I am so accustomed to it, but I am sure I will get the hang of being a SAHM. Hubby is a coach and teacher, so we pretty much just pass in the hallway. LOL! I spend a lot of time blogging and I love it! I post on Mommy Goggles about the things that I love and the things that I feel my readers love to read about. As I said, we recently moved in to a new (old) home. It was built right around 1900, so we are in the process of renovating it and I am having a blast painting, building, adding, crashing walls in, and so much more. You can view pictures and my process on my blog. My passion is photography, my Nikon D80, studio equipment and full in home studio so that I can capture my babies in their own environment. I got in to photography after I had a local cheesy "studio" take pics of Tucker when he was 6 weeks old and when I got the pictures back, you could see mommy's hand holding him up. Ack!
I was brought on to Mommies United to venture out my word about my process, helpful hints, and things that I love. So, when I am not chasing Tucker out of the pantry from stealing Lego gummy snacks, wondering where Kambry has crawled to and gotten stuck, or blogging at Mommy Goggles, you can find me here!

Hi Tanya! I here you about moving. We moved a year ago. I had two kids and one on the way. Our third is a little blessing that wasn't expected. If you can believe it.....we bought a new home with only 3 bedrooms. After our offer was made we found out we were having our third. God has a plan.....so we just smiled and are making the best of it.
Staying at home is wonderful. Although it can be hard work and at times lonely. I really wanted to meet other moms and network. Most mom groups in our area are large and I personally wanted a smaller group where we could get to know each other more.
So I formed a moms group. It's a nonprofit group designed from two successful moms groups that were in other towns. I was able to find one other mom to help me out. We wrote bylaws, organized the programs and launched it last year. We meet one night a month. What our moms love about it is that it doesn't take much time. We've met at restaurants, played bunco, had a mystery night, met with personal trainers at a new gym for free, made meals to freeze and had a cookie exchange at Christmas.
Sorry this entry is so long. I've made wonderful friends and friends for my kiddos. If you want more info please call me through my Classic Tale business at 1.800.503.9140 or contact me through my web store under the customer service tab at www.AClassicTale.com. Good luck with your remodeling. Sounds like your are busy busy. Cheers! Janelle
