I had to double check because this had the same question as Giveaway#2!

I start out the day with a large cup of coffee, and I try to stay upbeat until all morning stuff is done, even if it is forced. Sometimes, acting the part makes you the part!

Same as the other right...So I just copied and pasted it...But I do want to add, I have to have my coffee in the mornings...If not, I am going nowhere! : )
We always start our mornings off by having things done the night before. We lay out clothes to wear to school the next day including socks and shoes. We even put the hair elastic around the hangers with the hair brush in one shoe. (kayla always loses hers last minute so i started this last year) And her back pack is always put by the door.

Best way to start the day off right? Get to bed on time the night before, so you don't have mini-zombies falling asleep in their cereal bowls. We stick to a pretty strict bedtime (8pm, still, even though my daughter is in 5th grade), and it really helps. When they stay up later, we can sure tell the next day!

Tarasview said...

The best way to get start my day off right is to wake up to my smiling, laughing kiddos. (after I am fully rested of course!)

Unknown said...

Oh goodness, I get the day off best if I get up and exercise as soon as the girls get out the door. We shall see if I can pull that off this year.:)

Otherwise, my best thing is being prepared the night before - clothes selected, backpacks loaded, lunchboxes ready to be packed. IT really helps.

I also enjoy a good cup of hot java while I feed my kiddos breakfast. Then off to the gym to get my metabolism going. I shower there while the kids are in the play area. Even though I'm only there for 1 hour total, I try to relax and take a moment for myself before the day gets rolling. It puts me in great spirits so that I can be a more patient mommy!

OK, that's assuming I DO get it off right though - so am I automatically disqualified cause I'm not so good at mornings? :)

For what it is worth, I am working on a morning routine that will allow me to get off to a good start - including little one's trip to the potty when he wakes up. yes, we are going to try potty training again after a lil break. I did the morning routine list before and it worked.. now to get back to it.

How do I get my day off right? Ideally, I start with a cup of coffee, a quiet house, and some quiet time alone with my Bible. Realistically, the kiddos usually wake up before I do. But, my dh still provides coffee for me, and I usually squeeze in time to read my Bible later on in the day. :)

Well, I'm pregnant right now, so getting the day started is easier some mornings than others ;-)! But mostly, I try to start every day with a hug and an upbeat tone of voice for my little boy - when I come into his room dragging, it seems to affect our whole day.

Then a good breakfast -- I've recently discovered that if I start my day with protein in my first meal, I'm better off energy-wise all day.

And depending on the day ;-) (if my breakfast stays down!) I have a big cup of coffee with my favorite indulgence: sugar and half & half. It's just enough sweetness and creaminess to feel like a special treat, and then I'm ready to go!

(All that being said - this babe on the way is a little girl and I'm dying to start stocking up on bows and ribbons and girly fluff, so I'd LOVE to win!)
