Hi my name is Mary Ann, I am the 80 year old Mother and Grandma Great to 7. Let me tell you a little as to why I would want this cupcake courier. My daughter Christine, is almost 50 years old she's been teaching in a classroom for almost 15 years and went back to school for her masters. She works very hard and has always been one of those teachers that makes the classroom special for her students. From Halloween parties with massive amounts of cupcakes to Christmas parties. She gives each child Christmas presents even. That's how much she loves her students. She is one of those who buy way to much stuff so she has those flimsy cupcake holders but she would just die if we were to win one of these. I don't think she would ever think to buy one herself so I would love to surprise her. Thanks so much and I will send you an email with my contact info. I don't have an email address although my children always try to get me one. Thank you!

Once upon a time I had to change kindergardens right before my birthday. On your birthday you got to bring cupcakes for the whole class. I was so upset. I had picked out the perfect cupcake for my Mom to make. It was chocolate cupcake, strawberry frosting, and rainbow sprinkles. I started a new school but you could not bring cupcakes for your birthday. I was upset as only a 5 year old can be. A few months later I returned to my first school. It was St Patrick's Day and my Mom, she is so wonderful, made me cupcakes. They were white and green swirled cupcakes, white frosting, green sugar around the edge and a four leaf clover in the middle. I was so excited that my first day back with my old friends had cupcakes. My mom had stayed up late after I had gone to bed to made them. With three kids I know now that is was even more special than I understood at the time.

Once upon a time there were two children, Benny and Jenny, who had to bring cupcakes to a school bake sale. "I'd rather take brownies," said Benny's mom. "Cupcakes are too hard to transport." But Benny loved cupcakes, so he said he would make them himself. Benny made fancy, colorful cupcakes. Some had toy farm animals stuck on top, and others had designs drawn on the frosting. Jenny made cupcakes, too, but hers didn't look as fancy. They had funny faces made out of candy, but the frosting was just plain vanilla. When she heard what Benny was making, Jenny wondered if anyone would want her cupcakes.

The day of the bake sale, Benny tried to figure out how to get his cupcakes to school. The ones that had animals on them, he carried in a box. The ones that just had frosting on them, he carried in the muffin pan he had cooked them in. He covered the carriers with plastic wrap to keep them safe. But by the time he got to school, the cupcakes in the box had been tossed around and bumped into one another, so the animals had fallen over and the frosting had gotten messed up. The cupcakes in the pan lost half their frosting when he pulled the plastic wrap off, so all the designs were smushed or missing.

When Jenny took her cupcakes to the school, she used a Cupcake Courier that held all her cupcakes perfectly. It protected the cupcakes from the elements, and kept them from smashing together or having the frosting rubbed off. Jenny's plain vanilla cupcakes with candy faces showed up at school looking so much better than Benny's, all of hers sold out before Benny even sold one of his. "Next time I have a birthday," said Benny, "I'm hiring Jenny to make my cupcakes!"

"All you really need is a Cupcake Courier," Jenny told Benny. Benny got his mom to buy a Cupcake Courier, and next time there was a bake sale, both kids' cupcakes looked great and sold out fast! They lived happily ever after, enjoying great-looking cupcakes at every bake sale and party. The End.

Once upon a time there was a woman who loved kids, cupcakes, and parties. She tried to combine her loves in her job as a nanny, and in her church calling as children's chorister, and later as the nursery leader. Unfortunately, every time she made cupcakes, she could only carry 18 in her carrier made by a major plastic-ware manufacturer, so the rest usually ended up on paper plates or, if she was lucky, the lid of a copy-paper box. No matter how carefully she carried them to the car, by the time she arrived at school or church and carried them in, they had slid left and right, forward and back. Half of them were smashed, some of them were upside down, and most of them had transferred her homemade frosting to the box top, the plastic wrap, and the cupcake papers--that's if they stayed in the box at all.

Every time she thought about her Easter cupcakes, she wanted to cry: freshly baked moist devil's food cupcakes topped with marshmallow-like 7-minute frosting, chewy green coconut "grass" and fruity jellybean eggs... But the image of most of them mangled and rolling around on the car floor after a sudden stop just wouldn't go away. Sigh! Every time she heard the word cupcake, the vision of those cupcakes would appear before her eyes...

Until she found out about the Cupcake Courier. Now she has a vision of a pristine Cupcake Courier filled with ice cream cone cupcakes, Easter cupcakes, blueberry muffins, strawberry cream tarts... Alas, only a dream, but maybe, just maybe, someday she'll have a cupcake courier of her own, one she can even carry to far and distant states when she goes to visit her daughter, her in-laws, or her nieces and nephews. One she can pack full of yummy treats for the nursery kids, or the celebrations at the Addiction Recovery Group where she volunteers, or carry to school when, as a nanny, she makes them for her charge's class parties and walks them over... Maybe someday...

Once upon a time, there were two boys in a family. These boys loved cupcakes and especially loved to share them with friends. Both boys belonged to a baseball teams and cubscouts, and often brought their mom's delicious cupcakes to share with the friends. Mom always used a foil covered soda box to carry the delicious cupcakes, which the boys were embarrassed about. Than, one day, Mom won a contest, where she won this wonderful cupcake carrier. Everyone was so thrilled. (People really win these contests!) Everyone in the family lived happily ever after.

once upon a time there was a little princess who loved to bake with the queen mother who was her grammy. there was no better baker in all of the land. after a few sessions the queen mother challanged the princess to a bake off. the rules were that you had to make a treat that looked like something else. the queen mother baked cookies that looked like witch hats, turkeys, and mice. a bread that looked like a bear and a cake that looked like an easter rabbit. the queen mother was very good at cooking but the princess had just started. the princess didnt know what to do she was stumped. she asked her mother what to do and her mother said make something you know. so the princess made cupcakes that looked like princess hats and wizard hats. she put an ice cream cone upside down on each cupcake and covered it with frosting and candy. when the princess showed the queen mother her creation the queen mother took her in her arms and said my princess you win!!!. this story is about me and my grandmother. she would often make us grandchildren treats that looked like something else. every x-mas she would make a bread that was shapped like a teddy bear right down to rasin eyes and buttons. every easter she would make a cake that looked like the easter rabbit's head and ears. she is 83 now and lives 2 1/2 hours away in a home and doesnt make us the treats anymore. i like to bake her things and take them to her but alot of the time they dont make it because they get squashed but with this cup cake courier they'd still be standing tall. i know my grandma and her friends at the home love my cupcakes even if they are squashed by the time they get there but imagine me walking in to the home with cupcakes in perfect condition the ladies would love it and probley want a courier for their own LOL. thank you for your time.

Once upon a time a beautiful baby boy was born during the first week of March. Now in most parts of our great country the month of March means we are on the cusp of spring, but this is not the case in the MatSu Valley, Alaska where the baby boy was born. In Alaska March means winter is still raging on & to make matter worse, the winds often peak at 80+mph in the Valley during this time.

For the boy's first 5 birthdays his mother didn't allow the harsh weather to affect his birthday festivities. However it happened the very day of his 6th birthday fell on a school day & the boy was very excited to share a birthday treat with all his Kindergarten friends.
So the mommy spent hours decorating 2 dozen beautiful cupcakes with a variey of sugary confections for her son's class. About 20 minutes before the classroom celebration was to begin the mommy loaded the cupcakes into her minivan that was parked in the gargage, safe from the harsh arctic elements.

As the mommy parked in the school parking lot, she was acutely aware that the Chinook winds were violently tossing her van from side to side. She said a little prayer hoping she would be able to make it into the building with her precious cargo.

The mommy had made it about 1/2 way to the building when a enourmous gust of wind struck the cupcake-toting mommy head on, ripping the tray of yumminess from her arms. Needless to say, the mommy was devastated. About a dozen cupcakes were strewn in the snow bank just inches away, while the cupcakes that had survived the fall and we still in the tray were now covered in a thick layer of grey glacial silt that had been carried by the wind. The birthday treat was ruined.

Quickly the mommy gathered the debris, hopped in her minivan & managed to purchase 2 dozen store bought frosting & gummy worm decorated doughnuts and deliver them to the classroom with just seconds to spare. And while the children all loved the treat, both the mommy & the boy were heartbroken that their cupcake vision had been ruined.

Hopefully by the boy's 7th birthday the mommy will have been able to obtain a cupcake courier (do they even sell these in Alaska?) to prevent such a tragedy from happening again..........

Once upon a time there was a mom who liked to make cupcakes. Well, really, it was her two precious girls that loved to eat the cupcakes. In fact, their favorite part to eat was the icing. Being girls, they loved the way their mom could decorate the cupcakes to look so frilly and beautiful. Unfortunately whenever they had to travel somewhere with the cupcakes, the poor icing would end up becoming squished or lopsided. The two girls became very disappointed in the cupcakes appearance. One day, however, the mom managed to get ahold of the highly coveted Cupcake Courier and all of their cupcake nightmares were over! Never again would they have to deal with ugly cupcakes. Now they were always beautiful, just like the two girls. And they all lived happily ever after.

They were to be used for a booth called cupcake decoration where the children would buy a cupcake and then decorate it themselves. It so happened that it was a great success, the only problem was the teacher ate like 5 cupcakes and felt really full. Talk about cutting into the profits.

Once upon a time my daughter asked me to bring cupcakes to her daycare for snack day. I worked late into the night creating the most beautifully decorated little cupcakes. I packed them carefully in a container. The next morning, my daughter and I walked the precious cupcakes to the car. Just as I reached to open the door, the container with our beautiful cupcakes tipped and all of the cupcakes slid together, mushing the fabulous decorations. They still tasted great, but if I had one of those fabulous Cupcake Couriers they would have arrived in their full decorated sugary glory.

Once upon a time...
There was a woman who loved to bake.
And every night before she went to bed,
She'd relax with hot tea and a cupcake.

The kids were all bathed,
and tucked into their beds...
She'd read them a story,
and kiss their rumpled heads.

Her husband had left for work,
for a graveyard shift all night...
and the homework from her college course,
was tucked away, finished, out of sight.

The dishes had been washed,
the laundry fresh and clean...
And those yummy evening cupcakes
were the best thing she'd ever seen.

So, she snuggled in her bed,
A good book resting in one hand...
and nestled in the other one
Was the yummiest cupcake in the land!

Once upon a time there was a beautiful mommy who made exquisite cupcakes for her well behaved intelligent and gracious children. The beautiful mommy decorated each individual chocolate velvet cupcake with personalized pictures that reflected the endearing personalities of her exceptional children. The elegant cupcakes were artfully displayed on the spotless kitchen table waiting to greet her delightful children upon their return from school.

The children would have been delighted with the delicious cupcakes but unfortunately the delinquent canine got to them first.

Oh the tragedy.

If only the beautiful mommy had owned a cupcake courier she could have kept her wondrous cupcakes safe from the drooling canine and her precious children would not have had to endure such intense disappointment.

The end.

Once upon a time a young Queen (Mother) who was very declined in the making of cakes who sat upon her throne (rocking glider) and pondered on what to do.

Then along came a Jester (her son) with an idea just out of the blue on what to do for the Queen (Mommy) who was all boo-hoo.

He said Mommy (she heard Queen) I have a solution to your problem, we can make mini cakes. "Mini cakes?" she said in alarm. Yes, mini-cakes, we make all the goo and pour them into cups and wallah mini cakes! They are small but delightful and easy to decorate, no worries about alot of time or troubles, Mommy (she heard my Queen).

Her Jester (son) was quite smart and she took his advice and soon they were in the kitchen making all the wonderful little delights he called mini-cakes!

After all the stirring, mixing, spooning, pouring, and baking, alas the perfection was done!

But they have made quite too many and what will they carry them in to show everyone?

She asked her Jester (son) if he had another idea and he was actually quite stumped.

Then along came the King (Daddy) with a contraption of sorts he called it a Mini-cake carrier (cupcake carrier) . They were all soo amazed that they scurried to pack them all up and off to the Grand Event (picnic) before it rained!

The End!

She was very frightened and almost gave up after she read the fantastic stories submitted by much better story tellers then her. But finally the thought of the smiles and looks of love and worship her grandchildren would give her if they could share with all their class the wonderful cupcakes she always made them at home made her bite the bullet and try. So here it is and I hope I can win, cause grandma's still like to be thought of as magical now and then too.

Once upon a time, there was a brand new mommy who loved baking...and eating cupcakes. Actually, she loved baking. Period. She had just given birth 6 weeks earlier. Her husband works 12-16 hours every weekday, so she looks forward to the weekend for a little break. They have no family or close friends that live nearby to lend a helping hand.

On the weekend, instead of going to the spa for a much needed massage (16 hours of labor) and getting pampered- or going shopping, this mommy prefers to bake. It just makes her happy. She never needed a cupcake courier because the cupcakes stayed at home and disappeared into her mouth.

She often baked goodies for her husband to bring to work. As a matter of fact, she made 2 coffee cakes for him to bring to his work only 2 weeks after giving birth. It was a thank you for all the wonderful baby shower gifts they had given us. She often made cakes because she has a cake type container that transports nicely. However, just recently, this brand new mommy purchased a cupcake book (Hello, cupcake!) online~ in between feedings~ and was so excited to make some, she searched online for a cupcake courier. She saw the one that is featured on this website and wanted it badly.

It was a Sunday and the newspaper had a 50% off coupon for a craft store that she knew carried another brand of cupcake courier. She had to wait until this Saturday to get it (coupon expires on that day and free day from baby). She would much prefer "the cupcake courier", but cannot wait and have the coupon expire. She will buy the generic courier and save the receipt in the hopes that she will return it after she wins the cupcake courier contest. Her plan is to make yummy, cute, creative cupcakes and bring it to her husbands work~ and to her workplace~ and see if they would buy a cupcake or two or three. The money earned would go into her daughter's savings since the new mommy would not be returning to work anytime soon. True story.

Oh WOE me he cried and didn't even know what clothes were! He peeked outside at the customers eating cupcakes and to his disbelief, they were unwrapping the cupcakes from a tin wrapping and on top was frosting hair! He thought he'd ought to try out such a lovely idea and ran to the kitchen to make himself a fancy outfit! He has not been naked since.

Once upon a time, I was a very serious, very businesslike professional. I taught college - computer science and programming. I lived in a land of very adult adults who were all very proud of their careers.

Then I had a beautiful, perfect, tiny and wonderful daughter.
I woke up one day after she was born to realize that something had changed. Deep in my heart, I knew I wasn't going back to work at then end of my 'maternity leave' - because I realized I couldn't ever "leave" being a Mommy.
So I called my employer and told them that I had decided to become a Stay-at-home Mom.

They laughed. One said "What? Are you going to stay at home and join playgroups and PTAs and bake cupcakes and be all Becky Home-ecky on us now?"
"Absolutely," I replied.

But as my daughter was growing and learning to crawl & speak and discover the world around her - I had to learn how to be the 'domestic' Mommy I'd never seen myself as.

One day, when she was in preschool, I remembered the taunt about "stay at home and bake cupcakes" from my oh-so-academic colleague and thought "Why the heck not?"

So I baked 2 dozen cupcakes. I decorated them. I discovered that I had a hidden talent for it. The cupcakes disappeared quickly - and my family asked for more.

I thought I'd make some and take them to her preschool for her birthday. No stories of upturned or smushed cupcakes - instead I had to make 3 trips from the car just to get them into the classroom... having put them in box-lids with styrofoam pieces in between and plastic wrap above the top.

But what a pain!! The next time my daughter wanted cupcakes for school - I copped out and bought them from the store. I didn't want to have to go thru the whole rigamarole I had on her birthday.

So I asked her teachers for the flimsy plastic cupcake 'boxes' the bakery had sold them in after class... thinking how clever I was - that I could reuse them for my own cupcakes the next time.

The next time... that's where I had my downfall. Thinking even now of the intricately designed cupcakes I made... the flimsy plastic containers, piled 3 high, with 12 each in them... the one stupid patch of ice that reached up and grabbed me and threw me to the ground - and the cupcakes in the other direction. Sky-born plastic containers. Flying cupcakes. Pink frosting all over me, the concrete, and the snow-covered grass. My daughter crying, insisting we go home and 'start over.'

I've made many cupcakes since then... but the only way they leave home is in photographic form.

How lovely it would be when she goes to Kindergarten this year to be able to take my own creations to her class using a Cupcake Courier!! Maybe I'll even take a picture of the 36 little cupcakes, nested in their Courier homes, and send it to the woman who thought I was crazy to give up teaching clueless college students for teaching my precious child how to put sprinkles on the tops of freshly frosted cupcakes!

Yeah, I'd do that if I had one.

Once upon a time, my 9 year old daughter wanted to make cupcakes as a treat for her softball team. So, off we go to the store for all of the ingredients. There were so many options in flavors of cake mix that she was overwhelmed to choose. So, we elected 3, a white, a chocolate, and a strawberry. At home we set out baking.

3 dozen cupcakes baked, we had to make some decoration decisions. We had purchased many different sprinkles and candies while at the store without any clear visions of what these cupcakes would look like. We decided on homemade frosting, the simple vanilla version. We made each cupcake unique, but softball themed. They were a hit! The whole team, and all of their siblings were able to enjoy some homemade treats.

Now I'm asked to make cupcakes for every event that my 9 year old could possibly attend. She's so proud of them, that she volunteers to be the treat girl every time!

Good Evening, Not only did our family celebrate Father's Day, we also celebrated my great-nephew's 6th birthday! His sister is 9 years old and I was talking about your current "Cupcake Courier" Contest. Caitlin loves to bake and cook with her mom
(my niece). They came to Illinois from Ohio to celebrate the two occasions this weekend. Caitlin wanted to win the courier so she wrote a cupcake story an added the illustration! She read her story to me and I only corrected quotation marks and very little else. It is simply a nine year old girl's story about a cupcake. She would love to win a pink cupcake courier. Many thanks, Cindi
jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com

Here is Caitlin's story ~ Once upon a time there was a Land of Goodies and Treats, but no one liked the little cupcake. He was very lonely.
The cookie said "You are not very tasty to me!" "Well, you are not very nice, said the cupcake, I will go to the world of candy, and maybe I will be wanted!" He goes miles and miles away from the Land Of Goodies and Treats. He finally got to Candyland. The cupcake asked the Candy Heart, "Will you take a sweet, nice, kind cupcake, please?"
The Candy Heart answered "Well, we do need more sweets you know." "Thank you, Thank you!"
"Here is the way it works here, We tell the people how we are made and that's how we have more candy. So, if I tell you, will you make more cupcakes?" "Yes." So that is how we have cupcakes today. The End.
Story by Caitlin, Ohio, age 9.

Once upon a time I had to bring cupcakes to my son's end-of-school picnic. I was going to carry them on a jelly-roll pan, but it was raining and I didn't want to cover them and have the frosting stick to the foil. I tried putting them in a mailing box, but it was too big. I then tried putting them in a shirt box, but it was too small. I ended up putting them in two shirt boxes and carrying them *very* carefully, but the moral of the story is.... a cupcake courier would have been *just right* !!

Once upon a time, there was a rather mature woman (but not old) who lived in a shabby plastic box. She had so many cupcakes she didn't know what to do. She tried hiding them in cupboards, tried hiding them in boxes. Twas all to no avail as the ants found them, the children found them and hubby was often caught with cupcake frosting on his cheek.
One day, a traveling cupcake courier merchant came through town. This merchant was the most lovely, gracious merchant in all the land. She took pity upon the *rather old but aging gracefully* woman and gave her a cupcake courier.
The old womans, I mean maturing womans cupcake woes had been solved. In exchange for the merchants kindness, the woman spread the word of the merchants website and directed all her friends and townsfolk there.
The family? They lived happily ever after. The woman? She lived in bliss, having the now proper receptacle for her cupcakes. They could be stashed anywhere with no fear of anyone finding them. Not even ants.

Once upon a time, a young(ish) Momma with many siblings, and therefore many nieces and nephews noticed a strange phenomenon. Whenever a celebration had concluded, and the drudgery of clean-up was underway, the hostess (and occasionally host) would attempt to rid themselves of leftover cake by means most nefarious. Cajole, beg, manipulate, insist, demand, sneak ... all these terms and more describe the actions of otherwise upright citizenry when left in custody of goodly portions of too-sweet, stiff-iced, strange-taste-on-the-back-of-your-tongue sheetcake.
However, this clever Momma noticed that cupcakes, on the whole, are greeted with joy and wonder. Even on the rare occasions when some have not been consumed, there is no difficulty in passing them on to others. Is it the portability? The acceptable portion size? The sweet memory of school-day parties?
From that day forward, that (lovely, witty, etc.) Momma has forgone the dreaded butter-cream covered slab, and is now known for the joy-and-nostalgia-producing, always-welcome-at-a-party, devinely-inspired cupcake assortment for any and all celebrations!
Said Momma could always use an attractive way to get them there, though....

Once upon a time, I had a kindergarten age son who needed to bring cupcakes to his class for his birthday. Seeing as this was my first time trying to transport something to school, I took the beautiful cupcakes that I had spent hours decorating and put them in a foil lined shirt box. As I was carrying this box into school while holding my two-year old, I got all the way to his classroom and dropped the box. But I didn't just drop the box, I dropped my daughter while trying to save the box and I ended up catching her and then squishing the box making the cupcakes not only upside down but also squished beyong recognition. My son cried, my daughter cried and I had to go get grocery store cupcakes to bring back to his class. Please don't let this happen to him in first grade too!

Once upon a time there was a gal who loved cupcakes. She loved them so much that she brought them to every gathering- but she was always disappointed by the squished- but still yummy- appearance of the cakes. Then one day she won a cupcake courier and everyone was amazed to see that the oh so yummy cupcakes were also totally beautiful.

Once upon a time, a beautiful lady got her very first new car - err, carriage. It was beautiful, and smelled of new upholstery. She vowed to take beautiful care of it, forever and ever.
Later that same week, one of her fellow villagers needed the lady to bake in her ovens some cupcakes for a bake sale, to raise funds for the vicarage. The lady baked, and she baked, all through the night. Cupcakes were piled on every surface in her kitchen.
Morning arrived, and it was time to transport the cupcakes in her carriage to the bake sale.
She put cupcakes in boxes, and in tupperware (umm... magic boxes), and crossed her fingers that all would be well, and there would be no ruts for her carriage wheels to run into, so that her journey might be smooth.
At last, all the cupcakes were loaded into the carriage, and she began her journey. Suddenly, along the king's highway, two carriages collided! Smash!
All of the surrounding carriages, including the lady's, pulled tightly on the reigns of their horses, stopping suddenly.
When the lady got to her destination, she looked in the back of her carriage, to see pink, white, and chocolate frosting all over everything.

In search of something yummy, she began to follow a path. Not just any path but one marked with cnady sprinkles of all color and shapes. She had to sample some as she walked and she put others in her pockets for later.

Suddenly, she arrived a a clearing. It was empty except for one big cupcake.
It was chocolate and iced with a creamy white frosting. The creamy topping was jsut waiting for some fun.

Bea squealed with delight and started to sprinkle all of her toppings that she had stored on the huge cake.

Once decorated, Bea stopped to admire her masterpiece but not for long. One delicous bite led to another and the cupcake was soon nothing but crumbs.

Bea sighed with pleasure. She was no longer hungry but who was every going to believe her wild cupcake tale?

Once upon a time, I had time. Time to do things like bake from scratch. That was 18 years and two months ago. Then I started my own business, and cooking went out the window. I recently sold my business and have also started cooking and baking from scratch again. I go to club meetings where we have to bring a pot luck dish, and I am very bad at knowing what to bring. I always want to bring something unique and something I know everyone will love. I had an idea to bring homemade Blueberry muffins. The small size like you would eat as bread during a meal, not those huge breakfast kind you buy at the fancy coffee places. I also plan on drizzling some powdered sugar frosting over the top. This little cupcake courier seems like just the thing to carry my muffins to the meetings. This will be the first time I look forward to a pot luck!

Once upon a time there was a preschool teacher and avid baker that decided to make a "special treat" for her special class. She made her cupcakes with great care and decorated each one to fit the personality of each child, and put the name of each child on their very own cupcake. She was very excited to bring her cupcakes to her class. When it was snack time the next day she went to uncover her cupcakes and found that the top had taken some of the perfectly placed frosting with it1 Now not only had the designs ben smudged, but she couldnt decifer the names! Was this cupcaake for Jim of Jill?? She did the best she could to read the cupcakes, and handed them out disapointed by the circumstances. She thought to herself "I wish there was a better way to transport my cupcakes". I guess she didn't know about the cupcake courier....but she is glad that she does now! The next time a bring cupcakes to my darling class I hope to be bringing them in my very own Cupcake Courier!!

Once Upon A Time there was a mom who saw this totally cool contest for a groovy blue cupcake courier. All she had to do was a leave a fairy tale style comment for her chance to win.
Much to her dismay there were over 70 comments (insert sound of balloon deflating) and most of the comments were crazy creative.
Her chances were slim, but she left her comment anyways.
Her beloved cupcakes finally had a shot at riding in style. Their days of crowding into a tin pan could be history. The plump little cupcakes screamed with joy and held their sweet little breaths.
The mom told her darling cupcakes not to get their hopes up. But she also said to never give up on their dreams.
The mom and her cupcakes went about their business, dreaming of the day they could be the winner of such a fun prize.

Once upon a time there was this baker, who owned the bakery, and one day Little Johnny came in and bought a cupcake. 10 minutes later, Little Johnny came back into the bakery, with the uneaten cupcake and said, "Mister, I want a new cupcake, this cupcake has scratches on the bottom!." So the baker took hold of the cupcake, turned it upside down, and sure enough, on the bottom paper cup, a whole bunch of scratches, so he offered the boy another. Little Johnny took the cupcake and left. 10 minutes later, Little Johnny returned to the bakery and once again proclaimed, "This cupcake too has scratches all over the bottom..!".. The baker couldn't believe what he was hearing, so grabbed the cupcake to inspect and sure enough, this one too had a whole bunch of scratches on the bottom. Again, he gave Little Johnny another cupcake. As Little Johnny left the store, the baker decided to follow, he went over to the front door, and as he looked out the door, there was little Johnny just sitting down at the curb of the street, with cupcake in left hand. And just as you would motion with a toy car, there was little Johnny motioning with the cupcake, saying "vroom, vroom"

They had their aprons on, flour all over the countertops and smiles on their faces. After following the directions on the back of the cake box very closely they were on their way to a kitchen full of cupcakes. Just at that moment their mom came home early and surprised them. But more than surprising them, they gave her the biggest laugh she had ever had. Imagine her surprise to see both girls with their arms elbow deep in the batter. "Why don't you girls use a spoon to do that?" she said. They said "Because the directions said to 'stir by hand'!" Those turned out to be the best batch of cupcakes ever made.

Once upon a time the coolest Gigi in the Loonyverse wanted to make her little Ian some cupcakes. Since she lives in a house with 3 girls, she did NOT want them eating all the cupcakes up so she wanted to send them home with Ian so he would be the one bouncing off the walls since that is after all a gigi's perogative- giving her grandson all the goodies then sending him home to let mommy deal with the fallout.
Now Gigi can have a not nice streak, but she knew that Ian's mommy would give them to him over a reasonable period of time so as not to make him all hyper and crazy.
Thank goodness Gigi had won that cupcake courier because she knew that the special cupcakes would make it home to Ian's house intact and would be just as lovely as when she had sent them, unlike when she used to pack the cupcakes up for his mommy and her aunts and they never made it without casualties.
And they all lived happily ever after.

Once upon a time there was a sad litle cupcake. She was lopsided and sunken in. All her perfect little sisters made fun of her and said nobody would eat her cause she was so "ugly". They made fun of her and teased her endlessly, they said she'd just end up in the garbage disposal. Pretty soon it was time for them to all get ready for "big party". All her sisters told her "no way" she would be going, she was just too ugly! Finally to her surprise she was packed along with all her sisters. On the ride they kept telling her that nobody would pick her! The others started fighting over who was the prettiest and would get picked first. The ugly little cupcake was so sad. She could just imagine the rejection of being the only unpicked cupcake. Some people started gathering and pointed at the cupcakes. The ugly cupcake didn't want to listen, she knew they were just making fun of her. She tuned them out, lalalalalalalalala! Someone was selecting one of the cupcakes, no it can't be, it was her! The little boy said " I want this one", it's perfect! That was best thing this little cupcake heard........ before she was devoured! Mmmmmmmmmmm!!
Her ugly sisters weren't picked and need a cupcake courrier to return home in, crying the whole way back!

The Ugly Cupcake-ling:

Once upon a time in a bakery far far away there was a brand new batch of cupcakes entering the world. Each one was wide eyed and fresh, ready for all the grand adventures that comes with life as a cupcake - there are fancy decorations, lavish parties, and beautiful foil wrappers for any young cupcake to dream about.

One day as the new cupcakes were getting ready for their first trip to the bakery sales floor, a shy yellow cake named Plain found himself surrounded by a group of his oven-mates. "He doesn't have any frosting!" yelled one of the cupcakes. "How boring! You're the ugliest cupcake I've ever seen!" screamed out another. The taunting continued until Plain finally broke down in tears and wandered off to be alone in a quiet corner of the bakery kitchen.

"Plain! Plain! Where are you?" yelled Plain's mother, searching high and low for her son. She soon found him huddled alone near the giant walk-in freezers. Plain's mother was a beautiful sight to see - 3 tiers of white cake, raspberry filling in two the tiers and a pink champaign filling in the top tier. She was covered with white fondant icing and adorned top to bottom with cascading gumpaste flowers in various shades of pink. Tiny fondant pearls lined the base of each tier. She was the most beautiful cake in the world and she was a model cake for the bakery. Brides came in frequently to admire her and order a cake of their own to be made up just like her.

"What's wrong my sweet little cupcake?" asked Plain's mother when she came upon him and found him visibly upset.

"I'm the ugliest cupcake in the bakery," lamented Plain. "Who will ever want to take me home? The other cupcakes have icing in beautiful colors, decorations, and sprinkles. I have none of that. I will never be good enough for someone to want!"

"Oh, Plain," his mother started, "you are a wonderful little cupcake! I love you exactly as you are. And I know that one day you will be everything you want to be. You needn't worry about what the other cupcakes say. You are perfect exactly as you are!"

Later that day the baker came in to collect all the cupcakes for the display case. Plain ignored the teasing of his peers and tried to remember all the sweet, sugar coated this his mother had told him earlier in the day.

It wasn't long before a little girl and her mother came in together. The girl's mother came in carrying a blue cupcake courier and all the cupcakes knew that meant this was their big chance to prove themselves and hopefully win a prized spot in the courier. The mother explained to the baker that she and her daughter were there to pick up a dozen cupcakes for the little girl's birthday party the following day. The little girl stood on her tiptoes to see all the lovely cupcakes in the display. She pointed at various cupcakes and one by one they were placed carefully into the cupcake courier. After 11 cupcakes had been selected, the little girl tugged on her mother's skirt. Her mother bent down and the little girl whispered something quietly in her mother's ear.

"She would like something extra special for her very own cupcake at tomorrow's party" explained the mother to the baker.

Several of the more heavily decorated cupcakes stood up tall and proud, expecting to be selected as the little girl's personal birthday cupcake. Plain shrunk back, knowing that the other cupcakes in the display were much more beautiful than he.

The little girl's mother continued, "she especially loves yellow cake and is interested in that one in the back called 'Plain.' She is wondering if she can have it personalized."

The baker pulled Plain out of the case and, after getting a few specifications from the little girl, went to work. Plain was filled with chocolate mousse, topped with pure white buttercream frosting, and adorned with a bright yellow daffodil made of royal icing. A few strokes with a pastry bag and Plain had beautiful green leaves to finish off the look.

The baker sat Plain down on the counter where all the other cupcakes could see him. He was the most dashing little cupcake in the whole shop, and a very special treat for a very special birthday girl. The little girl smiled from ear to ear and gave a nod that he was perfect. He was placed in the cupcake courier along with the 11 others.

None of the cupcakes had anything more to say to Plain after that. And Plain knew that his mother had been right, he was special and he grew into a beautiful birthday cupcake.

The end.

Once upon a time my teenage girl made cupcakes for another sibling's sports team. She should have included drinks because the cupcakes were awful salty.

Once upon a time I wanted to send something cool to my son's class for Halloween. I made cupcakes and frosted them with white icing. Then I added green sprinkles for grass and broke Milano cookies in half. I wrote "RIP" on the cookie halves with leftover batter and a toothpick and planted them on the cupcakes. I added a spider ring as an embellishment. I felt very clever. The cupcake caddy would have come in handy as they were hard to transport.
