Sweet Extravaganza WEEK FOUR

Week Four

The Cupcake Courier is proudly sponsoring a 12 week event just in time for Mother’s Day! We know all you Mom’s have cupcakes to bring to class, and to parties... what better way to safely and fashionably if we may add to all your events! You will be able to bring enough cupcakes for the whole class, since it will transport thirty-six cupcakes. The three easy to remove trays allow you to access those perfect cupcakes way on the bottom.

Would you like to be a winner this week? Create a design for sprinkles! Tell us all about it in your comment, and be creative!
Make sure you adhere to our contest rules and please leave a valid email address if yours is not in your profile.

  5. Last 4th of July I made mini cupcakes and iced them with white frosting. Then, just around the edge of the cupcake I sprinked tiny blue sugar (Wilton makes this) and then right in the middle of the cupcake I put a red M&M. They were very cute and very patriotic!

  8. I love sprinkles that have little shapes. I think it would be fun to put some paisley-shaped sprinkles on my cupcakes. Or maybe a colorful sprinkle mix that has different fruit shapes like lemons, limes, cherries, oranges, and pineapples.

  10. Well, being a mom of a boy, the sprinkles are all entirely to 'girly'....He will eat them of corse; but I would love to have some sprinkles that would appeal to little boys. What comes to mind first: cars, truck, boats, planes....those are easy. What would really send my miscreant of a toddler over the edge would be worm sprinkles or spider sprinkles or bugs- any bug- and the more the better.

Thanks CLassy Mommy and The Cupcake Corner for this great event!

Fall: leaves and pumpkins in fall colors

thanks for the entry!! I've been eying these for a while now! :)

I would love to have red sprinkles that taste like cherries, purple ones that taste like grape, yellow like lemon, green would be lime, orange would be oranges, white could be coconut, blue could be blueberry, and so on....This would be a great sprinkle idea! You could then make chocolate cupcakes with cherry sprinkles! Whola...Chocolate covered cherry cupcakes!

  18. Hippo sprinkles (my daughter loves hippos) and for my other daughter pink and yellow teddy bears sprinkles. Along that theme a whole zoo of animals would be fun, monkeys, alligators, flamingos, rhinos and even giraffes.

  23. Let's face it - Moms love cupcakes just as much as their little ones do (maybe even more)! My day revolves around taking care of the little guy and I enjoy it, but Moms have a hard time putting their own interests first. I'm going to do just that. If I'm designing my own sprinkles I want sprinkles I'll go ga-ga over even if the little guy doesn't get it (nor does he really care - sprinkles just taste yummy as far as he's concerned). So my sprinkles will be shoes and handbags - tons of bright colors to dress up any cupcake! I know there are plenty of moms out there who would love to put the kiddos to bed and sit down with a glass of wine and a cupcake decorated with colorful shoes and handbags! :)

  33. What an good idea for a contest. If I were Queen of the sprinkle world, I'd make brown monkey faces that taste like good dark chocolate. And googly eyes would be a nice bonus touch.

Or "career" sprinkles_ apples for teachers, hammers for construction workers, band-aids for nurses. Oh, this would be hard - have to make sure the sprinkle is not something gross like an enema for a proctologist.

This cupcake courier looks awesome. In case I am the winner, my address is as follows: susan2009 at gmail dot com.

  34. I think it would be cool to have sprinkles in all the different numbers - that way if you're child was turning ten you could sprinkle ones and zeros all over his cupcakes. Cute!

  42. My idea would be for mothers day, on a chocolate cupcake. Create a flower using green sugared gummi candy for the stem and leaves, then use a yellow sugared candy for the flower bud. Then leave a sweetheart candy with the saying 'I love you' next to the flower. Makes me want to bake some cupcakes right now!! laurachilton {at} hotmail {dot} com

  43. I would try to do initials for everyone present. I am from Australia and sprinkles are called 'hundreds and thousands' which I think is more fun!

  44. We could all use a little luck every now and then. My design would be green four leaf clovers.

  45. I'd like to see themes for holidays. Ex: snowflakes, hearts, flowers, umbrellas, flowers, sunshine, american flags, apples, pumpkins, turkeys, cornucopias, wreaths, christmas trees, candy canes, etc....

  46. My daughter loves sprinkles so much that some times (if she gets to apply the sprinkles herself) when she is eating her pudding with sprinkles it sounds like she is eating rocks!

I would like cartoon character theme sprinkles but I would also like sprinkle stencils that are easy to work with and decorate my cupcakes using colored sugar and elaborate stencils....now wouldn't that be impressive! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  48. i would liek number and letter sprinkles for preschoolers!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I would design Gerbera Daisy sprinkles.

I would have the petals be beautifully vivid colours that match the colours of Gerbera Daisies, in various hues:red, orange, pink, yellow, coral etc.

Then the center of the Gerbera Daisy sprinkle would be matched appropriately to the colour.

I think the Gerbera Daisy sprinkles would have to be double sided so that no matter how they were placed you would see both the petals and the centers.

They should also come in various sizes. Then you could use them according to the project you were working on. For instance, if you had made some cupcakes, you could take one large gerbera daisy sprinkle, and place it in the center of your cupcake with a mint leaf or two to make it look very pretty.

My other idea for sprinkles would be a high end sprinkle. Ready made sugared edible flowers. Those would be for people who love the look of the sugared edible flowers but without the time or knowledge of how to go about creating them.

  55. I think I would cut out a stensile of a 5 petal flower and hold it above my frosted cupcake as I dust the brite sprinkles . Hopefully they fall in a general flower pattern; and I top it off with a M&M. Love the cupcake holder!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I would design my sprinkles as follows:
With the flower shaped sugar sprinkles, I would carefully design them in a same flower shape on top of the cupcake, using pastel icing.
